Tallied his 1st career goal, and registered 4 shots and 4 blocked shots on October 18 against Buffalo.

Ranked 2nd among rookie defensemen in October with 26 blocked shots.

Returned to action on December 19 at Boston after missing 2 games due to the flu.

Became the 3rd rookie defenseman in franchise history to record 3 assists in a period (in the 1st) on December 27 at Ottawa.

Was part of the All-Rookie Team at the NHL All-Star Weekend.

Suffered a season-ending lower body injury on February 28 at Tampa Bay.

Ranked 3rd among NHL rookie defensemen with 102 blocked shots.
