Antti Niemi enjoyed a stellar campaign between the pipes for the San Jose Sharks in 2014-15, but it wasn’t enough to help the Northern California contingent secure a spot in the postseason. The Finnish standout posted a 31-23-7 record in 61 starts, amassing a 2.59 goals-against average, a .914 save percentage and five shutouts as San Jose finished the regular season in fifth spot in the Western Conference’s Pacific Division. It was the fourth time that the six-year NHL veteran and one-time Stanley Cup champion had reached the 30-win plateau in his career. Niemi split the goaltending duties with Alex Stalock in San Jose last season, who made 19 starts of his own. During the 2015 Draft, the Sharks traded Antti Niemi's rights to the Dallas Stars.
