KEY TO VICTORY
The Canadiens are in Washington to play their first road game of the season on Thursday.

Michel Therrien’s troops will look to pick up where they left off on Tuesday when they sent the Panthers back to Florida with a 4-1 loss. Therrien has confirmed his lineup from Tuesday’s game will remain intact against Washington. The Capitals are still searching for their first win of the season, having lost both games so far since Adam Oates made his move behind the Caps bench.

The Habs will attempt to pick up their first win in the US capital since Feb. 2011, which was also the last time the Canadiens came away with a win against the Capitals.
Mike Ribeiro is the Capitals’ leading scorer with three points so far in 2012-13.
  • Tomas Plekanec was the Canadiens’ leading scorer against Washington last year, registering one goal and one assist.
  • Lars Eller and Yannick Weber will be healthy scratches on Thursday night.
  • Carey Price will get his third-straight start on Thursday.
  • Michal Neuvirth will get his first start of the season on Thursday night.
  • Mike Ribeiro will look to stretch his point streak to three games.
  • Brooks Laich won’t be in the lineup for the Capitals due to a groin injury.
“We have to make sure we’re consistent with our effort and the way we play to make sure we’re the same team on the road that we are at the Bell Centre.”
- Michel Therrien
