Stéphane Richer made the most of his only appearance at the World Juniors by establishing himself as one of Canada’s prime offensive weapons as Team Canada went on to outscore their adversaries 44-14. Finishing the tournament ranked fourth in points among Canadian skaters, the Habs’ third pick in 1984 logged four goals and three assists to help his country cap off a gold medal performance.
