Five consecutive Stanley Cup Championships

Whoever dubbed the Stanley Cup the “toughest prize to win in all of professional sports” clearly wasn’t hanging out with the Canadiens in the late 1950s. With an unprecedented streak of five championships from 1956 to 1960 that has yet to be duplicated, the Habs continued to cement their reputation as the greatest hockey dynasty of all time. Considering that we haven’t even seen back-to-back Cup wins since the Red Wings in ’97 and ’98, Montreal’s five-peat feat doesn’t seem likely to be topped any time soon…if ever.
