Drafted 36th overall in 1977, Rod Langway would play 268 regular season games with the Canadiens, notching 127 points.
  Drafted 44th overall in 1994, Jose Theodore shows incredible results early in the 2000s, grabbing the Vezina and Hart trophees in 2002.

     

#5 - Chris Chelios (#40 – 1981)   #28 - Réjean Houle (#1 – 1969)
Chris Chelios, who has played 26 seasons with the pros, started his stint in the NHL with the Canadiens after being drafted in 1981. He would go on and play a total of 1651 games in the League before retiring at the end of the 2009-10 season.   In 1969, when a rule allowed the Canadiens to get their hands on the two first French-Canadians in the draft, the Montreal team decides to pick Rejean Houle first overall. In 636 games with the Canadiens, Houle would pull a total of 408 points, 161 goals and 247 assists.
