The Montreal Canadiens LRF Program, in association with Hockey Quebec, is set to begin its tenth season as part of minor hockey in Quebec. The program’s objectives remain focused on the growth and development of youth hockey within the province.
The LRF program is offered to all Novice to Bantam level players in Quebec. All participating players, parents and coaches must respect and honor the principles defined by the LRF Program, the Montreal Canadiens and Hockey Quebec.
The principles outlined in the program serve as valuable guidelines designed to encourage a strong moral code and sportsmanlike conduct among young athletes.
As a hockey player, I agree to:

- Always respect my teammates, the officials, my opponents and their supporters Always remain in control of my emotions, so that hockey does not become a violent sport
- Respect my coach and team managers and follow their instructions

As a hockey coach, I agree to:
- Learn and respect the written rules of amateur hockey and promote them at all times
- Respect the referees and their decisions, and require the same behavior from my players at all times
- Teach my players about good sportsmanship by encouraging and rewarding such behavior
- Remember that the less talented players deserve to play as well
- Respect the opposing coaches, players and their supporters and require the same from my players
