Game 5 preview: MTL vs. NYR
Rangers lead 3-1
On Tuesday night, the Habs will look to stave off elimination in front of their fans at the Bell Centre
Down two-one in the series against the Rangers, the Habs came close to getting their second consecutive win, but finally fell 3-2 in overtime due to a Martin St-Louis goal. New York took an early lead when Carl Hagelin converted on a short-handed breakaway in the first period. Francis Bouillon, playing his first game since May 3rd, made the most of his return and tied the game in the second frame on a two-on-one play with David Desharnais.
Thought Subban forced overtime with his man-advantage goal, the Habs will have to do better on that front, they who only went one-for-nine with nine shots on the powerplay in Game 4.
Martin St-Louis and Carl Hagelin will once again be the ones to watch for the Canadiens’ defense corp. St-Louis has racked up five points in four games so far while Hagelin has amassed two goals and an assist during the past two outings.
Puck drop will be at 8:00PM E.S.T.
