CANADIENS (36-25-7) @ SABRES (19-40-8)

The Habs will wrap up a busy weekend by playing a second game in two nights on Sunday against the Buffalo Sabres.

On Saturday, Montreal shocked the hockey world by overcoming a three-goal deficit in the final four minutes of regulation before earning a win in overtime against the Ottawa Senators. After Daniel Briere opened the scoring in the first minutes of the game, the visiting team scored four unanswered goals. However, Lars Eller, Brian Gionta and David Desharnais, who slipped the puck past Robin Lehner with a mere 0.4 seconds left in the third period, helped their team tie the game. In overtime, Francis Bouillon snuck in from the point and finished off the Senators on a back-door play. The Habs out-shot the Senators 46-33, and earned two points for the first time in four games.

The Sabres were also in action on Saturday night, falling 4-1 to the New York Islanders. Tyler Ennis was the lone scorer for Buffalo, who got 34 saves on 37 shots from netminder Jhonas Enroth. It was a fifth loss in a row for coach Ted Nolan’s men.

Carey Price, who notched the win on Saturday, got Sunday off and did not make the trip to Buffalo, as Michel Therrien had already planned on giving the start to Dustin Tokarski. He'll be facing Jhonas Enroth.

Rookie defenseman Jarred Tinordi will draw in for Douglas Murray.

Longtime Sabre Thomas Vanek will face his former team for the first time since being traded in the first part of the season. As a Hab, he has one assist in four games.

Sunday’s game will be the third season match-up between the two teams. The Canadiens is on a four-game win streak against Buffalo, dating back to last season.

Puck drop will be at 7:00 PM E.S.T.
