Fifth edition of the Radio-Telethon benefitting the Montreal Canadiens Children's Foundation
MONTREAL - The Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation is pleased to host the fifth edition of its Radio-Telethon on Wednesday, March 12 in partnership with rights holders RDS, TSN, 98,5 FM and TSN Radio 690. Presented in collaboration with Activis, Bell, Desjardins and La Presse+, the event aims at supporting the efforts of the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation to provide a brighter and healthier future for children in need, and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle among Quebec youth.
From 4 p.m. on, studio hosts from RDS and TSN and both radio stations will be inviting the listeners to make a pledge to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation. Members of the Montreal Canadiens family and representatives of various organizations that benefited from the Foundation’s support over the years will be on hand during various shows of our broadcasters. Alumni Canadiens members Guy Lafleur, Yvan Cournoyer, Gilbert Delorme, Rick Green, Réjean Houle, the player’s spouses as well as personalities Billy Tellier, Étienne Dano, Korine Côté, Sylvain Larocque and Sylvie Bernier will be working the phones to receive pledges from the general public until the end of the hockey game between the Canadiens and the Boston Bruins.
“The Foundation and the Canadiens’ family at large is very grateful for the support, the generosity and the overall expertise provided by the Canadiens rights holders RDS, TSN, 98,5 FM and TSN Radio 690 in making this annual event a resounding success, stated Geoff Molson, President and CEO of the Montreal Canadiens. We hope that all listeners and fans will tune in and be generous to help us improve on the results of last year’s Radio-Telethon.”
