The Numbers Game – November 1, 2013
SAINT PAUL - Here's a numerical look at the Habs-Wild game at the Xcel Energy Center on Friday night.
4 – Number of times that the Canadiens will play a road game on a Friday night in the month of November. It marks the first time in the 104-year history of the franchise that the Habs will play that many games in opposing teams’ buildings on that particular night in a single month.
12 – Number of games George Parros missed before returning to action on Friday night against the Wild. Parros had been sidelined since Oct. 1 after suffering a concussion in the season-opener against the Maple Leafs at the Bell Centre.
25 – Number of seconds it took the Canadiens to draw even with the Wild after falling behind 1-0 early in the first period on Friday night after Minnesota’s Justin Fontaine lit the lamp at the 5:45 mark. Brendan Gallagher tied things up with his sixth goal of the season. It was also the Edmonton, AB native’s first career marker against Minnesota.
315 – Number of assists racked up by Andrei Markov in a Canadiens uniform, moving the veteran rearguard into sole possession of 21st place in that category in team history.
5 – Number of goals scored by P.K. Subban in three career games against the Wild, the most the smooth-skating rearguard has scored against any NHL team in his career.
1 – Number of times in 10 starts thus far this season that Wild goaltender Josh Harding has given up more than two goals in a single outing, the first time coming on Friday night against the Canadiens.
