At just 25 years old, Brendon Nash is one of the oldest – and wisest – players on the Bulldogs roster. Despite being surrounded by players who were using hashtags before they could walk, Nash has managed to hold his own online, tweeting and re-tweeting with the best of them. Slowly building a Twitter following of his own, @bnash4 has had no trouble endearing himself to Habs and Bulldogs fans young and old, 140 characters at a time.
Who convinced you to join the Twittersphere:
Some of my friends from home were on it and they told me I should sign up because it’s a good way to stay in contact with each other.
Do you feel like you succumbed to the “Dark Side of the force”?
No I don’t think it’s the dark side! (laughs) It’s another avenue to express yourself. Sometimes you get caught up in the moment and it seems like it’s the dark side since everyone’s on Twitter. I think it’s a good little tool to have and a great news source.
How often do you go on Twitter daily:
Maybe once or twice everyday. I check out what’s going on to get updated.
Name three athletes in any sport you follow on Twitter:
Name someone you follow on Twitter that would surprise people:
I don’t follow a whole bunch of random people; I’ve kept it to a minimum number of people because I don’t like people that post what they’re doing every five minutes!
Do you sometimes shake your head after reading one of your teammates’ tweets?
Absolutely! Some of them are pretty funny, I think for the most part it’s in a joking fashion and they’re more humorous than serious.
Which of your teammates would you like to see join Twitter:
Frederic St-Denis. He’s a pretty funny undercover guy. He doesn’t say a lot; English isn’t is strong suit but it’s come a long way.
What’s the weirdest Tweet you’ve ever received from one of your followers:
I’m not too popular on Twitter, so I haven’t received many of those funny tweets, I guess!
