MONTREAL - Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Canadiens and the Senators at the Bell Centre on Friday night.
29 – Number of seconds it took after the initial puck drop for Erik Cole to score his 28th goal of the season, beating Sens’ goalie Craig Anderson with a nice wrist shot.
15 – Times Brad Staubitz has dropped his gloves to square off against an opponent so far this season. Staubitz has done so for a sixth time in the Montreal jersey Friday night, battling it out against Zenon Konopka early in the first.
840 – Number of days since the last time the Montreal faithful were summoned to the Bell Centre on a Friday night. The last time it happened marked an important day in the Canadiens history, as the Habs celebrated their centennial on December 4, 2009.
4:56 – Time it took for the Canadiens to send Sens’ goalie Craig Anderson packing after giving up two goals on a total of four shots. It’s the second time this season that Anderson is asked to step down while facing the Habs – on December 27, he was beaten four times on a total of seven shots all within 22 minutes.
6 – Number of hat tricks under Erik Cole’s belt. He scored his first ever hat trick in the Canadiens uniform, netting three goals in 5:41 only. Cole had registered the feat twice against the Habs while playing with the Carolina Hurricanes.
3 – Third time this season the Canadiens net four goals in one period. Petteri Nokelainen completed Erik Cole’s hat trick in the first, giving Montreal a net advantage. The Habs have tallied four goals in one period this season against the Detroit Red Wings and the Winnipeg Jets.
16 – Points punched in by P.K. Subban in the 26 games following the All Star break. He added two assists to his score sheet on Friday night against the Sens, bringing his grand total to 35 points.
