NASHVILLE – Here's a numerical look at the showdown between the Canadiens and the Predators in Nashville on Saturday night.
1000 – Number of games that Barry Trotz has spent behind the bench as head coach of the Predators. The 49-year-old Dauphin, Manitoba native along with Al Arbour, Lindy Ruff and Billy Reay, became only the 4th coach to reach the milestone with only one team on Saturday night.
481 – Number of games played by Francis Bouillon as a member of the Canadiens. Bouillon would join the Predators for the 2009-10 season after playing a very short four game stint with the team in 2002-03.
24:16 – Jaroslav Spacek’s ice time in as a member of the Florida Panther’s when they faced the Predators in Nashville’s first franchise game on October 10, 1998.
1 – Number of checks thrown by the Canadiens over the course of the first period, leaving the ice after 20 minutes with a one goal lead nonetheless.
8 – Number of points racked up by Josh Gorges thus far this season, with the defenseman easily breezing past his seven point total in 36 games from 2010-11.
35 – Number of combined NHL seasons played by Blake Geoffrion’s family, with Blake accounting for two, his father Danny for three, his grandfather, Bernard “Boom-boom” Geoffrion accounting for 16 and his great-grandfather Howie Morenz pitching in for another 14.
14 – Number of times the Canadiens and the Predators have collided over the course of Nashville’s 1,000 franchise games, with the Canadiens walking away with the win eight of those times.
