September 28, 2005 – Moncton, New Brunswick
Canadiens 2, Bruins 5
Taking to the ice before 7,000 fans at the Moncton Coliseum, Mike Ribeiro and Michael Ryder both found the back of the net to give the Habs a 2-1 lead after the game’s first 40 minutes. Ultimately unable to hang on for the win, the Canadiens fell to the Bruins after the Boston squad stormed back with four unanswered third period goals.
September 25, 2006 – Truro, Nova-Scotia
Canadiens 7, Senators 3
As a part of promotions for Kraft Hockeyville, the Habs headed east to face off against the Senators at the Colchester Legion Stadium in Truro. Christopher Higgins and Guillaume Latendresse’s two goals apiece helped propel the Canadiens to their first win of the 2006-07 preseason.
September 19, 2007 – Moncton, New Brunswick
Canadiens 1, NY Islanders 3
The Islanders cruised to an easy victory in Moncton after scoring three consecutive goals on former Habs goaltender, Cristobal Huet in the first period. Canadiens rookie Sergei Kostitsyn would finish the game as the only skater to light the lamp for the Habs.
September 23, 2007 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
Canadiens 4, Bruins 3
This matchup between the Habs and the Bruins, played before 9,967 fans at the Metro Center would turn out to be a one-man-show thanks to a dominant performance by Tomas Plekanec. The Czech center notched two goals in the first frame before going on to cap off his hat trick in the second. Christopher Higgins would register the Habs only other goal.
September 22, 2008 – Halifax, Nova Scotia
Canadiens 3, Bruins 8
The Habs 2008 trip to Halifax proved to be one of their more difficult preseason outings as the Bruins more than doubled that Canadiens in shots, 42 to 19. The Beantown squad capitalized on their rivals undiciplined play, netting five of their eight goals on the powerplay. Tomas Plekanec, Mike Glumac and Ben Maxwell, were the Habs silver lining with a goal apiece.
