MONTREAL – After another week of voting, Carey Price is still on top, but he’s got some stiff competition between the pipes.
Still leading all NHL netminders with 250,256 votes, Price is currently the third-highest vote-getter in the league, but with 218,350 votes of his own, Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury has made up some serious ground on the 23-year-old Hab.
A few other Canadiens have moved up the ranks this week, most notably Michael Cammalleri, whose 181,745 are good enough for seventh place among all NHL forwards. Tomas Plekanec’s numbers are also up this week, placing the Czech center 11th on the league’s list followed closely by Brian Gionta in 14th place.
Write-in candidate P.K. Subban dropped to No. 7 among blue-liners with his 151,672 votes, although the Habs’ rookie still has a long way to go to catch No.1 defenseman Kris Letang or No.2 Duncan Keith.
