Bulldogs report - Nov. 3, 2010
MONTREAL – The Bulldogs are back where they belong: on top.

Thanks to a 3-1 win over the Manitoba Moose on Tuesday night, the Bulldogs have catapulted themselves to the top of the North Division with a 5-1-3 record to date.

A few ‘Dogs in particular have exploded out of the gate to kick off the campaign. With 13 points in just nine games, David Desharnais has solidified his spot at the top of the pack, making his way onto the scoresheet in every game he’s played. All-Star Yannick Weber has also taken his usual spot atop the AHL’s blue line leader board, racking up four goals and 10 points already this year.

Following the rematch against the Moose this week, the Bulldogs will head to Montreal to take on the Binghamton Senators on the big stage at the Bell Centre on November 6. The two teams will then head down the road to Ottawa to faceoff again a night later, this time in the Sens’ home turf.

All told, the Bulldogs have 13 games on tap this November, but that’s not the only challenge the players have in store for the month. Channeling their inner ‘70s heartthrobs, the ‘Dogs will be sprouting moustaches in support of Movember, a cause aimed at raising awareness for men’s prostate cancer.

Ditching their razors for a good cause, the aspiring Tom Sellecks will be looking to have as much success off the ice as they do on it this month.
