The Numbers Game - September 27, 2010
MONTREAL -- Here's a numerical look at  the Canadiens' fifth preseason game in six nights, a 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers at the Bell Centre on Monday night.

1 – Periods played by Tomas Vokoun in a Habs jersey in his NHL career, allowing four goals against the Flyers on February 6, 1997.

2 – Seasons played in the QMJHL by Panthers forward Michael Frolik as a teenager, suiting up for the Rimouski Oceanic in 2006-07 and 2007-08.

1 – Number of Carey Price's family members joining him on the ice, with his cousin Keaton Ellerby having patrolled the Panthers blue line on Monday night.

245 – Estimated bowling score Alex Henry likely rolls, demonstrating his keen eye for the domino effect by toppling both Mike Santorelli and Kenndal Mcardle on a single hit in the first period.

8 – Number of shorthanded goals scored by Tomas Plekanec in his six-year NHL career, flexing some offensive muscle on the PK again on Monday night with a wraparound marker in the first period.

0 – Number of NHLers who have had a more productive preseason than Plekanec to date, with the shifty center potting his third and fourth goals of the exhibition schedule against the Panthers to tie Ottawa forward Nick Foligno and Ducks forward Corey Perry for the league lead.

2 – Goals scored by Ryan White in three preseason games so far after going goalless in 16 NHL games in 2009-10.

14 – Number of Panthers players who finished the night in the negative side of the plus/minus differential on Monday night.

16 – Number of different Habs who registered at least one shot in the game, including Michael Cammalleri who fired a game-high six shots in the outing.

300 – Number of minutes in which the Canadiens have been in action since last Wednesday night, earning their two day break before hitting the ice again this Thursday against the Sabres.

20 – Number of pieces of equipment sprawled over the ice during a scuffle in the third period, including Erik Gudbransson’s jersey to go along with the usual smattering of gloves, sticks, elbow pads and helmets.

62 – Number of penalty minutes accrued in the skirmish, including four fighting majors, four 10-minute misconducts and a boarding minor.

122 – Total penalty minutes doled out in the game, including four fights.
