Canadiens\' young prospects to shine at the Bell Centre
PRESS RELEASE

MONTREAL – The Hamilton Bulldogs, the Montreal Canadiens’ AHL affiliate, will play host to the Binghamton Senators at the Bell Centre on Sunday, November 5, 2010 at 7:30 p.m.  This event is a presentation of evenko in collaboration with the SMS Group, promoter of the game. It will be the Bulldogs’ fifth game at the Bell Centre in team history, the third time against Binghamton.

Tickets, starting from $6, will be available as of Saturday, September 25 at 10 a.m., at the Bell Center Box Office, by phone at (514) 790-2525 or 1-877-668-8269, or at www.evenko.ca.

The Hamilton Bulldogs’ roster will feature some of the Canadiens’ top-rated prospects just a few strides away from the NHL. The Bulldogs will actually open their training camp on September 28 with three pre-season contests against the Binghamton Senators, from September 30 to October 3. The games will be held in Corner Brook, Grand Falls-Windsor and St-John’s, Newfoundland.

More than 14,700 fans attended the first Bulldogs’ game of the 2009-10 season at the Bell Centre on November 6 when they hosted Binghamton. More than 15,000 fans attended the second match on February 21, 2010, which saw the Bulldogs blank the Adirondack Phantoms 5-0.

Several young Canadiens prospects who contributed to the Bulldogs’ success last season are still at camp with the Canadiens, including forwards David Desharnais, PK Subban, Ryan White, Tom Pyatt, Mathieu Carle, Yannick Weber and Ben Maxwell.

The Bulldogs’ first game at the Bell Centre was held on March 18, 2007, against the Syracuse Crunch, weeks before the first Calder Cup championship in franchise history. The Canadiens’ current roster features four Bulldogs Alumni from the 2006-07 championship edition: netminder Carey Price, defenseman Ryan O’Byrne, as well as forwards Andrei Kostitsyn and Maxim Lapierre. On November 30, 2008, the Bulldogs played host to the Binghamton Senators before some 14,000 fans at the Bell Centre.
