Canadiens recall Gregory Stewart from the Hamilton Bulldogs

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Thursday that forward Gregory Stewart has been recalled from the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs.
Stewart scored 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) and posted a plus-5 rating with 131 penalty minutes in 40 games this season with the Bulldogs.
Last season, the 22-year-old left-winger was held scoreless in one game with the Canadiens, his first in the NHL, firing two shots on goal and serving five penalty minutes in 11:26 of playing time.
Stewart, an eighth-round selection (246th overall) at the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, will join the Canadiens today in preparation for their game against the Nashville Predators.
