100 seasons of hat tricks
MONTREAL --Scoring a hat trick is a dream night for any player. Just ask Christopher Higgins, who was the last Habs player to do it. Here's a look back at some other huge nights enjoyed by Canadiens snipers over the past 100 seasons.

57-Consecutive seasons in which the Canadiens managed at least one hat trick from 1941-42 to 1997-98.

47-Times a Habs player has notched a hat trick against the Blackhawks, the most surrendered by any Canadiens opponent.

44-Seconds needed by Jean Beliveau to score three times against the Bruins back on November 5, 1955, marking the fastest hat trick in franchise history.

33-Three-goal nights enjoyed by Maurice "Rocket" Richard over the course of his brilliant career, a franchise-best which also includes seven postseason hat tricks.

9-Hat tricks notched by the Canadiens in both 1929-30 and 1971-72, a franchise high in one season.

7-Times since 1926-27 that a pair of Habs teammates scored a hat trick on the same night. Bernard "Boom Boom" Geoffrion and Dickie Moore were the last ones to do so in an 8-4 win over the Rangers back on October 15, 1960.

4-Habs players who scored a hat trick in a 16-3 thrashing of the Quebec Bulldogs on March 3, 1920.
