Here’s a numerical look at the Canadiens’ 3-1 triumph over the Bruins on Wednesday night at the Bell Centre.

7:21-Power-play time logged by Alex Tanguay in his Bell Centre debut. Playing primarily on the point in those man advantage situations, Tanguay picked up an assist on Guillaume Latendresse’s power-play goal in the second period.

2-Points picked up by Patrice Brisebois against the Bruins, with the Habs defenseman picking up a goal and an assist on his way to earning the game's first star.

16-Shifts played by Saku Koivu in his first taste of preseason action after sitting out the Habs' six previous games with a foot injury.

8-Preseason points piled up by Andrei Kostitsyn, who continues to lead the NHL in that department along with Andy McDonald of the Blues.

6,519-Seconds elapsed between goals allowed by Jaroslav Halak once he was beaten by Zdeno Chara in the third period.

6-Victories notched by the Canadiens so far this preseason, the highest total for the Habs since 2002-03, when they ended up with a 7-2-0-0 record.

6.5-Rating on the Richter Scale of Ryan O’Byrne’s bone-rattling hit on the Bruins’ Stephane Yelle in the first period.

22-Combined penalty minutes racked up by both the Habs and Bruins, a 78-minute drop from their other encounter this preseason on Sept. 22 in Halifax.  That night, the longtime rivals piled up 24 penalties for a whopping total of 100 minutes.

157-Regular season games played for the Canadiens at the Bell Centre by Michael Ryder before suiting up for the first time in Montreal wearing black and gold on Wednesday.
