Halak assigned to Hamilton

MONTREAL – The Montreal Canadiens announced Saturday that goaltender Jaroslav Halak has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.

The Slovakian netminder was recalled on Dec. 3 and played one game with Canadiens this season (Dec. 8 vs. Carolina), allowing one goal and making six saves in 19:59 of action. In 2006-07, Halak posted a 10-6-0 record with a .906 save percentage, a goals-against-average of 2.89 and two shutouts in 16 games with the Canadiens.
