MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Tuesday that defenseman Jean-Philippe Côté has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
Côté, 23, has played in 32 games with the Bulldogs in 2005-06, collecting four points (one goal, three assists) and 63 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-2, 216-pound defenseman Quebec City native played in his first three NHL games earlier this season. He was held off the scoresheet but showed a plus/minus rating of plus-1.
