Kostitsyn and Danis re-assigned to Hamilton
MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Wednesday that forward Andrei Kostitsyn and goaltender Yann Danis have been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League. Both players were recalled from Hamilton on Dec. 19.
Kostitsyn, 20, played in five games with the Canadiens this season, and recorded one point, his first NHL goal, which he scored on his first career shot on Dec. 13 against the Phoenix Coyotes. He has played in 28 games with the Bulldogs in 2005-06, scoring five goals and earning 13 assists (5-13-18) and 26 penalty minutes.
Danis, 24, played in six games this season with the Canadiens. He posted a 3-2-0 record, a 2.69 goals-against average and a .908 save percentage. Danis has played in 10 games with the Bulldogs, posting a 5-4-1 record, a 2.58 goals against average, and a .905 save percentage.
