Kostitsyn assigned to Hamilton
MONTREAL - Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Sunday that forward Andrei Kostitsyn has been assigned to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
Kostitsyn, 20, was recalled on Dec. 13. He has played in four games with the Canadiens this season, and recorded one point (1-0-1), his first NHL goal scored on his first career shot on Dec. 13 against the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Belarus native played in 27 games with the Bulldogs in 2005-06, collecting five goals and 12 assists, and 26 penalty minutes.
