Latendresse named to QMJHL roster for Canada-Russia Challenge
Fellow Habs prospect Mathieu Aubin will also participate

Guillaume Latendresse, who recored three goals and five points in four preseason games, was named will participate in next month's Canada-Russia Challenge.

MONTREAL (CP) - The Drummondville Voltigeurs led all teams with four players named to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) roster for next month's Canada-Russia Challenge.

The six-game series features a Russian select team playing against all-star teams from the QMJHL, OHL and WHL.

The Voltigeurs will host the first game Nov. 21 with the Moncton Wildcats to host the second contest Nov. 23.

Canadiens prospect Guillaume Latendresse will be joined by fellow Voltigeurs forward Derick Brassard and defenseman Frederic St. Denis and goaltender Pier-Olivier Pelletier on the roster, which was announced Tuesday by the Canadian Hockey League.

Latendresse, the Canadiens' second-round pick (45th overall) in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, won't be the only member of Montreal's 2005 draft class to participate as forward Mathieu Aubin (fifth round, 130th overall) of the Lewiston MAINEiacs will also be on the QMJHL squad.

Former Canadiens assistant coach and Director of Player Development Clement Jodoin now of the Lewiston Maineiacs will be the head coach while Drummondville and Moncton bench bosses Dominic Ricard and Ted Nolan will be his assistants.

The Kitchener Rangers will host the first OHL game Nov. 24 followed by the Peterborough Petes Nov. 28.

The series will conclude with the Saskatoon Blades hosting on Nov. 30 and the Regina Pats hosting the finale on Dec. 1.

All six games will be broadcast nationally on Rogers Sportsnet and the two QMJHL games will be broadcast in Quebec on RDS.
