PITTSBURGH - Here's a numerical look at the Canadiens-Penguins game at the Consol Energy Center on Wednesday night.

40 – Number of starts made by Carey Price so far this season, including Wednesday’s tilt in Pittsburgh, making the Canadiens’ netminder one of just five NHL goalies to hit that plateau in 2013-14.

29 – Number of games, including playoffs, played by Douglas Murray as a member of the Penguins in 2012-13. The hulking blue-liner faced his former team for the first time since signing as a free agent in Montreal this summer.

52 – Number of days since Rene Bourque last lit the lamp for the Canadiens, scoring his first goal since Dec. 2 – and recording his first road point of the season – with a wrister over the left shoulder of Marc-Andre Fleury to get the Habs on the board in the first period.

2 – Number of times Peter Budaj has replaced Price between the pipes mid-game this year, coming in to relieve the All-Star netminder following Evgeni Malkin’s second period goal.

6 – Number of players in the lineup on Wednesday who were also in the lineup for the Penguins during Michel Therrien’s final game behind the bench in Pittsburgh, namely Malkin, Sidney Crosby, Rob Scuderi, Kris Letang, Brooks Orpik, and Marc-Andre Fleury.

11 – Number of goals registered by the Penguins in their past two games against the Habs in Pittsburgh, outscoring Montreal at the Consol Energy Center 11-5 in that span following Wednesday’s 5-1 result, despite losing 3-2 in their first meeting of the season against the Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

5 – Number of shots fired by Bourque in the outing, leading all Canadiens in that category against the Penguins.
