MONTREAL– The Montreal Canadiens announced Tuesday that 56 players will participate in the Club’s annual development camp, set to take place from July 3-7, at the Bell Sports Complex, in Brossard.
Twenty-eight (28) of the 55 players in camp are draftees from the Canadiens organization, including all eight selections from the 2013 NHL Entry Draft presented on June 30 in New Jersey, featuring the Club’s first round selection, Michael McCarron and the first goaltender selected at the NHL Draft, Rosemère, Quebec native Zachary Fucale.
All players will participate in off-ice testing at the Bell Sports Complex on Wednesday, July 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The first on-ice practice session will also be on July 3, starting at 4:30 p.m. On-ice practice sessions (three groups) will take place in the morning for the reminder of the camp, with scrimmages at the end of the day. A two-team intrasquad game (three periods) will be presented on Sunday, July 7, at 9:30 a.m. All practices are open to the public.
Players participating in the Canadiens development camp will be available to the media every day around noon (12 p.m.), starting on July 3.
