The Canadiens head down Highway 417 for Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Senators on Sunday night at Scotiabank Place.
The Habs kick-off the first of two games in Ottawa after tying the series at one game apiece with a 3-1 victory over the Senators on Friday night at the Bell Centre. Ryan White, Brendan Gallagher and Michael Ryder tallied for the Canadiens, while Carey Price turned aside 29 of 30 shots in the win. Milan Michalek was the lone player on Paul MacLean’s squad to beat the Habs netminder. For his part, Senators starter Craig Anderson stopped 31 of 34 shots in Game 2.
Both clubs had the opportunity to rest on Saturday after contesting back-to-back tilts on both Thursday and Friday night. Game 4 will be played on Tuesday night in Ottawa.
-Max Pacioretty and Brian Gionta accompanied their teammates to Ottawa, but the pair remain questionable for Game 3 on Sunday. They are listed as day-to-day with upper-body injuries.
-After leaving Friday night’s game in the third period, Rene Bourque will be back in the lineup on Sunday night in Ottawa.
