Game Preview: Canadiens - Maple Leafs

The Canadiens conclude both a three-game road trip and the regular season schedule with a Saturday night tilt against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

The Habs clinched home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs on Thursday night with a 4-2 win over the Jets in Winnipeg. Rene Bourque, Brendan Gallagher, David Desharnais and Max Pacioretty tallied for the Canadiens, who picked up only their second victory in their last six games. Carey Price made 23 saves to register victory number 21 on the season.

The Leafs earned a 4-0 win over the Panthers on Thursday night in Sunrise, FL, moving to within four points of the Habs in the Eastern Conference standings. Goaltender James Reimer stopped 34 shots, recording his fourth shutout of the season.

Toronto has bested Montreal in three of four meetings between the two teams this season, with the Leafs posting a 5-1 victory over the Canadiens in their most recent tilt on April 13 at the Air Canada Centre.



- Alex Galchenyuk has scored six goals and registered 11 points in his last 12 games, while Max Pacioretty has scored four goals and picked up five assists in his last eight games for the Habs.

- Peter Budaj will make his 10th start of the season in goal for the Canadiens.


- Tyler Bozak, who has scored three goals in four games against the Canadiens this season, could be sidelined for Saturday night's game with an upper-body injury.

- Phil Kessel has scored three goals and registered eight points over his last four games.

- James Reimer could make his 32nd start of the season on Saturday night against the Canadiens.
