Game Preview: Canadiens - Maple Leafs

The Canadiens conclude a two-game road trip with a Saturday night matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre.

The Habs are coming off a 5-1 victory over the Sabres on Thursday night in Buffalo. Rene Bourque, Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallagher, Andrei Markov and P.K. Subban tallied for the Canadiens, who clinched a playoff berth with the win. Peter Budaj registered his seventh victory of the season in goal for Montreal.

The Habs currently lead the northeast division by a single point over Boston, and sit second in the Eastern Conference standings with 57 points on the season.

The Maple Leafs most recently dropped a 3-2 shootout decision to the New York Rangers on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. Toronto is fifth in the Eastern Conference standings with 49 points.

Saturday night’s matchup is the fourth of five regular season meetings between the Canadiens and Maple Leafs. Toronto leads the season series two games to one.



- Carey Price will make his 33rd start of the season for the Canadiens on Saturday night against the Maple Leafs.

- P.K. Subban has registered six points over his last four games, while Alex Galchenyuk has six points over his last five games. Michael Ryder also has six points in his last four games for the Habs.


- Joffrey Lupul is sidelined with a concussion for the Maple Leafs, while Mikhail Grabovski is questionable for Saturday night's tilt.

- Phil Kessel has four goals and six points in his last three games, while James van Riemsdyk has five points in his last four games for Toronto.

- James Reimer will get the start in goal for the Maple Leafs.
