- The Montreal Canadiens’ annual development camp got underway on Wednesday morning at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard. Fifty-six players, including 28 draftees from the Canadiens organization are in attendance. All eight selections from the 2013 NHL Entry Draft presented on June 30 in New Jersey are among the players on site. The camp, which features both on and off-ice components, will conclude with a scrimmage on July 7.

- Norris Trophy winner P.K. Subban was named to the NHL’s First All-Star Team on Wednesday alongside defenseman Ryan Suter (Minnesota Wild), forwards Sidney Crosby (Pittsburgh Penguins), Alex Ovechkin (Washington Capitals), Chris Kunitz (Pittsburgh Penguins), and goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky (Columbus Blue Jackets).

- The Canadiens extended qualifying offers on Tuesday night to forwards Ryan White and Gabriel Dumont, as well as goaltenders Dustin Tokarski and Robert Mayer. Forward Ian Schultz and defensemen Yannick Weber and Joe Stejskal were not extended qualifying offers and are set to become unrestricted free agents on July 5.
