-The Canadiens held a game day morning skate that was open to the public on Saturday morning. Both Tomas Plekanec and Carey Price were present on the ice.

-The band Simple Plan and other will be holding a free concert for Habs fans before Saturday’s season opener. The show starts at 3:00 P.M. on Avenue-des-Canadiens-de-Montreal.

-Despite not having participated in the team’s intra-squad scrimmage on Thursday night, Tomas Plekanec confirmed following practice that he will be in the lineup to take on the Leafs. Plekanec will play on a line with captain, Brian Gionta and rookie Alex Galchenyuk.

-After taking a therapy day on Friday, Michel Therrien confirmed that Carey Price is at 100% and will be between the pipes for the Canadiens Saturday night.

-Confirmed healthy scratches are: Brendan Gallagher, Mike Blunden and Yannick Weber.
