-Marc Bergevin met with the media on Sunday morning to announce that forward Scott Gomez will not be taking part in the Canadiens 2012-13 campaign with the goal of buying out his contract next season.

-Bergevin confirmed that talks with defenseman P.K. Subban and his agent are ongoing and that he hopes to have Subban join the team for training camp soon.

-Injury report: Forward Petteri Nokelainen is expected to be out for the next two weeks with a back injury, while Mike Commodore and Tomas Plekanec are currently day-to-day.

-Hamilton Bulldogs Louis Leblanc, Patrick Holland, Frederic St-Denis, Mike Blunden and Michael Bournival have all been invited to the Canadiens training camp and are expected to undergo their medicals on Monday.

-The Canadiens will hold a team scrimmage on Thursday, Jan. 17 at the Bell Centre that will be open to the public.
