The second game between the AHL clubs saw the Marlies determined to avenge their 6-3 loss to Hamilton as they hosted the Bulldogs in Toronto. The Marlies succeeded in turning the tables at home, finding the back of the net four times in the game’s opening frame to pave the way for a 6-1 final score. Only the Bulldogs’ Aaron Palushaj managed to get his team on the board, beating Toronto goalie, Ben Scrivens, for a shorthanded marker. Taking a cue from their parent clubs, 131 minutes of penalties were assessed in the match-up between the Ontario rivals.
