The Bulldogs put on an inspired performance for the 8,034 fans at Copps Coliseum who came out to cheer them on for their first of two back-to-back games against the Toronto Marlies. Alexander Avstin made the most of his Bulldogs debut, lighting the lamp and also assisting on a Joonas Nattinen goal. Eight Bulldogs in total picked up at least two points apiece over the course of the match. In nets, Cedrick Desjardins stepped between the pipes for his first start of the season after fully recovering from an injury sustained during training camp.
