Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I have been watching Habs games with my family for as long as I can remember! Hockey night in Canada has always been my favorite night of the week, and its even better when we play the Leafs! I own multiple jerseys and t-shirts of my favorite players that I’ve collected over the years. Although I live in Nova Scotia, I have been lucky enough to make it to 2 games in the last 5 years and plan to attend another one in the fall! In the meantime, I keep up to date on everything Canadiens, by following them and the players on Facebook and Twitter and making comments about the team whenever I can. My sister has recently changed her favorite team to the Canadiens too, so its nice to have someone else to watch the games with my dad and I every night!!

I’m a huge Habs fan. I have a Habs jersey that’s signed by the entire team, a Habs blanket and even a Tomas Plekanec stick that I bought at the Habs’ used equipment event. I’ve gone to the fan jams and the Habs Hall of Fame. I love keeping up with everything the Habs do with social media and am always getting news, updates, videos and pictures to download by following them on Facebook and Twitter. Go Habs Go!!!

I make sure to go on the team’s official website each and every day as well as always check in on their Facebook and Twitter accounts for all the latest Habs news. I’m a huge fan of the Canadiens and am always posting comments and opinions about the team on their Fan Forum and on the RDS site too.

If you look at my Twitter – it’s only ever about hockey. My friends know how much I love the Habs and they say it’s unhealthy to love a hockey team as much as I do. The other day Rene Bourque followed me on Twitter and I almost cried. Anyways, the only thing I talk about on Facebook and Twitter is hockey and around school I'm known as the girl who has a crazy passion for the Habs. Montreal appreciates the team and loves seeing them play. Go Habs Go!

Since I was little, I’ve religiously watched the Canadiens play. I never miss a game even if it drives my girlfriend crazy. I’m hoping to be able to get my season tickets soon, but I know I have to patient since there are obviously a ton of people on that list! My favorite way to get my news on the team is through social media – especially Twitter. It’s the best place to get news from the team on important days like the trade deadline and July 1st. Here’s a picture of me and my daughter with Youpp! and another one of the birthday cake my girlfriend baked for me! Go Habs Go!!!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Every time there’s a game on, I always make sure to watch it with my family. Hockey is a huge part of my life. Me and all my friends at school are big fans of the Canadiens, and Carey Price in particular. I’ve been to the Bell Centre to watch them play before and it was an unforgettable night! Even when I know I have homework to do, I always take a little bit of time to make the tour and visit the team’s official Facebook page, Twitter account and website to make sure I’m not missing out on any news!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I’d describe myself as the Canadiens ultimate social media follower because, multiple times a day, you can find me looking up news and highlights on the Habs’ Facebook and Twitter pages, not to mention the team’s official website. Once a month, I make the 12-hour drive to Montreal to watch a Habs game and also usually go check out a practice in Brossard while I’m in town. I always love wearing my Canadiens jersey and the picture I’m sending was taken of my favorite player on the team, the last time I was at a game.

Every time that the Canadiens score a goal, win a game or make a trade, I’m on my Facebook profile right away posting comments, videos and pictures to help encourage my team any way I can. My room is also covered from top to bottom in Montreal Canadiens gear.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I’m 18-years-old and a huge fan of the legendary Montreal Canadiens. I've been a fan since I can remember. I love the team so much that I got a tattoo of the logo on my ankle. On Twitter, that’s all I tweet about, and I’m always behind the team whether they WIN or LOSE. The last game I went to was on March 8, 2012 in Edmonton, where they won 5-3. At that game I even got a puck from my favorite player, Tomas Plekanec. I cried when I caught it. I’ll always be proud to say that I am a HABS fan.

I always post pictures and comments about the Habs on Facebook. Living in Southern Vermont can sometimes be a challenge when you’re surrounded by Bruins fans. I grew up on the West Island and now I have a son and daughter (9&10). They are diehard Habs fans despite never getting to go to the Bell Centre and watch a game. But that’s about to change! I'm surprising my daughter in an hour at her school with tickets to the Habs game against the Senators! GO HABS GO!
