Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

A big hello to all the other Canadiens fans out there.

I’m an unconditional fan of the Habs, a team that in my eyes has already reached mythic status. I’m always excited for every game they play, even if I’m following from all the way from Switzerland.

I never miss the chance to sport my Habs colors, represent my dedication for the team. I’m making it my mission to get as many Swiss people to become fans as possible and to one day be able to visit the Bell Centre to watch the Canadiens play live.

I love me some Habs!

I've been a fan since I was a kid and never miss a game on TV, especially on RDS because they skate faster in French.

I've also been an avid cyclist for almost 30 years and when I left a career in television my co-workers pitched in and got me a Canadiens cycling jersey which brings both of my passions together. (Check my Twitter pic)

Social media is a great way to keep up to date with Planet Habs and connect with the Canadiens universe.

I am living in Toronto, but wear my Habs colours with pride. My family is from Montreal, and it's in my blood. We named our dog after Scott Gomez! I write and do graphics for one of the biggest fan-run Habs sites in the world: allhabs.net. I write something about the Habs, every day. I talk about the Habs, every day (Even if no one wants to hear about it!). I tweet, every single day, about the Habs.

I flew in to Montreal for one day to watch game three of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Washington Capitals. I worked in the morning of the game, drove out to the airport for noon, got into the city, went to the game, then the next morning I had to fly back to Toronto go to straight to work.

THAT'S dedication.

I am pretty sure I bleed bleu, blanc et rouge!!

I tweet about the Habs almost every day and for sure every game day - I defended habs fans on CBC radio last year and promoted that on my Facebook and twitter accounts - I post pictures of my Habs gear and of the mechants mardis parties we have at my house where we project the games on a huge wall in my studio every week. I’m just generally a huge Habs fan and on social media all the time with fairly large networks

This is me after the habs beat the pens in game 7 (which we watched at the bell centre) two yrs ago - best night ever!!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I’ve been an administrator of the Canadiens fan site Tricolore.ca that I’m also a founder of, since 2003. I’m very active on Twitter and also on Facebook. Our Tricolore.ca Facebook page has over 3000 fans and we have nearly 1500 followers on Twitter. We always try focus on the positive aspects of the team, as at Tricolore.ca we’re all tired of the negative stance more mainstream media always seems to take when discussing the team. Our social network tries to keep that same positive vibe that many others don’t have.
I have two big Canadiens tattoo that I’m very proud of, as you can see in the picture below.

I love the Habs and have always had fun arguing with friends of mine that are fans of other teams – as you can see in my other picture where I’m attacking my friend who’s a Flyers fan with my centennial brick!

I’m one of the biggest Canadiens fans around! At a gala held at my school, Lévis College, we got to host one of the school’s former-students as the guest of honor – non other then David Desharnais! As you can probably tell from this picture that I got to take with him, I was the happiest Habs fan in the world!
Go Habs Go! :)

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Hello, I live in Switzerland and I'm a big fan of the Canadiens! I love hockey and my friends and I follow all the Canadiens’ matches on TV. I often visit the official website for info on the team, so needless to say I'm already looking forward to the beginning of the 2011/2012 season. In the meantime of course when we play NHL, we always choose the Montreal Canadiens as out team.

I take this opportunity to send you with pleasure a concept that I personally designed - this is a jersey for my favorite team ever.

Thank you and GO HABS GO!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I am one of the biggest Habs fan on the westcoast. I follow the Habs on Facebook daily and I love looking up new and vintage highlights on Youtube everyday on my lunch break. This January my wife surprised me with tickets to Montreal and to a Habs game at the Bell Centre. My first time to Montreal and I will never forget it, plus it helped the Habs win! The picture is of my brother, wife and myself before the game at the Canadiens Hall of Fame in the Bell Centre.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I show my passion for the Habs through social media by posting pictures of my 6-year-old son Simon who is one of the Canadiens biggest fans and currently battling leukemia. He got to live some great moments thanks to LEUCAN and the Canadiens Foundation. I’ve always love the CH but now because of this, I’ve become a bigger fan than ever.
