Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I have a large collection of Canadiens memorabilia that I regularly share (let's be honest, show off!) on Facebook for my friends to see. I also tweet regularly during games and post any interesting Habs news that I come across. I get to attend games maybe once a year, and where possible I share some highlights of the game via YouTube. My favourite clip is the one of my name on the JumboTron wishing me a happy birthday! Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF2v-k6XGz0

I may be the only Habs fan in Western Massachusetts sporting a CH on his car. I’m also an avid game-time tweeter and occasional guest blogger for the All Habs online network. My wedding groom's cake was even Habs themed. As you can see I represent the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge wherever I can.

I’m a huge fan of the Montreal Canadiens and during the 2009 playoffs, my brother, sister and I all drew a giant Canadiens logo on our street in chalk to help support the team. We took pictures of the drawing and put them on Facebook to share with all our friends. My neighbour also took some pictures and put them up on our town’s website.
Go Habs Go!

Besides the obvious Facebook, Twitter and official Habs blog, I also follow each individual player, in addition to John Lu, Jay Onrait and anyone else who can help me get my Canadiens updates.

I make at least one trip to Montreal each year, despite the fact I use half of my tuition money for the gas and tickets. I make two trips if they make the playoffs (they always do). I'm on the season ticket waiting list even though I live in Nova Scotia.

Oh, and my 2-year old husky/rottweiler is named Kovi (for obvious reasons).

I am THE Habs Social Media Fan. See you at the home opener, I'll be tweeting throughout.

Being a Habs fan in Toronto is tough. Especially when everyone you know are fans of the Leafs. So, I use twitter and facebook to show off my Habs all the time! Once the season starts, I'm non-stop tweeting during games and with Facebook, it's update after update. I never miss a game on TV, and when it's not on TV I listen to the online radio or live-stream online. Habs for life! Nous Sommes Canadiens!

Since I was a little boy, my love for the Habs grew as I did. From waking up at 5:30 am and asking my dad who won the game the night before and which players scored, to now taking my Habs gear with me every time I go on vacation, to having wedding pictures taken in the Habs dressing room and our very own brick placed in the Bell Centre’s Centennial Plaza. The Habs will always play a major part in my life which hopefully will one day be passed onto my children. Go Habs Go!!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I have many photos on Facebook showing my love for the Habs, my Twitter background (and both my computer backgrounds) is Habs and I have the Habs-branded Firefox as well. I follow the Habs and the Bulldogs on Twitter, as well as all Habs players who have Twitter as well. My entire apartment is covered with Habs stuff, and I even got a tattoo last February. I wear my Habs jersey/hat everywhere in Ottawa and it's made me a lot of friends. My friends and I travel back to Montreal a lot (I was born and raised there) to watch games, be it at the Centre Bell, or at a bar. There's nothing like watching a Habs game surrounded by other Habs fans.

Tricolore jusqu'au bout!

I’m absolutely crazy about the Habs and I never miss a game, and I’ve even got my car decked out in a Canadiens theme. In short, I live, breathe, and sleep the Habs. I make sure to make it up about three or four times a year from Lac St. Jean to see games, and I even organize my vacation around the team’s schedule. I’m always commenting or checking up on the Canadiens Facebook page to keep up with all the latest news whether it’s July or December.

I’ve created a Facebook page dedicated to my favorite player Carey Price, and I’m always sharing as many things as I can to I help support the Canadiens #1 goaltender! I often wear my Habs jersey (even in the summer when I find myself missing hockey). I can’t wait for the season to start.

GO HABS GO! THIS IS THE YEAR WE BRING HOME THE CUP!

I grew up in Toronto, lived there for 30 years, and was a passionate Habs supporter regardless…much to the dismay of my friends. Since arriving in Montreal, I have followed the beloved Bleu, Blanc, Rouge on Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube.

But following wasn’t enough. I have my own Canadiens site (www.bleedbleublancrouge.wordpress.com) that has a wonderful readership, I write for another website exclusively on the Habs (www.allhabs.net), and I also have a specific Facebook page where readers can follow my incessant writing and tweeting.

My poor wife says she's lost me to Canadiens Tweeting and blogging!
