Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I could tell you all about the projects about the Habs that I’ve done for my college classes, or of my room that’s been completely dedicated to the Canadiens, or even the numerous collages and photos I’ve made and taken of the team. But my favourite way that I’ve supported the Habs through social media was when I was able to take a picture of myself wearing my Habs jersey on the Great Wall of China that I used as my profile picture! It was great being able carry my passion for the team all the way over to the other side of the planet!

We follow the Canadiens official accounts on Facebook and Twitter and created albums online to show off us representing the Habs, like this shot of me and my girlfriend Karine standing in front of the gates to Buckingham Palace in London back in April 2009.

I make my passion for the Habs heard pretty loud through social media, because it's just about the only thing I talk about. My twitter account is used 90% of the time for hockey related activity and that involves obviously (and mostly) les Canadiens!

My Facebook profile banner is dedicated to the Canadiens, and every time a game is played or news breaks I always post it to my wall

I’ve also posted one of my favorite new things on Facebook: having a Montreal Canadiens XBOX 360. Yeah, that's right, I got myself a skin that looks like a Canadiens jersey and now that’s what’s on my XBOX 360.

On Youtube, I’ve made two Canadiens videos – one for the NHL and one for former Canadien Alex Kovalev as well.

I think I can say Canadiens and Social Media go VERY WELL together in my life.

I’m also a proud and active member on hfboards.com where I spend 100% of my time on the Montreal Canadiens board, talking about les Canadiens. Gary320 is my username there.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I am constantly posting Habs acticles on Facebook and am not afraid to argue/fight with non-believers in person, Facebook, or other Habs fan internet sites. I never miss a game, which means that if it's not showing on TV, I'll find a live streaming site, and if I have class while there's a game on, I'll bring my laptop with me to class and watch it during the lectures - with the sound off of course. *Shhhhh!*

GO HABS GO!!!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Me and my two best friends took a road trip where we drove from Montreal, all the way down to California. We made it our mission to stop at all the NHL arenas so that we could take pictures of ourselves in front of them sporting our Habs gear (as well as pictures of us booing the team logos) posting the shots of us documenting our trip on Facebook as we went. We managed to stop in Ottawa, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, and Anaheim. Our passion for hockey is all that we know, and we always carry a Habs shirt wherever we go!

GO HABS GO!!!

I have been a Habs fan since 1999. Recently, my wife and I went back home to the Philippines after 11 years and I made sure I brought the Canadiens back with me for everyone to see by putting on my Carey Price t-shirt for the trip :-) GO HABS GO!

I’m always posting comments about the Habs on my Facebook page and following the Canadiens on Facebook as well. I’m a huge fan and always make sure to get all the latest news on my favourite team and my favourite players. Here’s a picture that I uploaded that I took next to the Statue of Liberty in New York. Go Habs!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I've been a fan of the Canadiens since the early 70's. I was looking for a place to discuss the Habs and I joined the official Canadiens fan forum in 2007. After a short while, I was asked to become a moderator by the moderating team. I am currently an administrator for the Habs forum. My goal is to promote the most storied franchise in hockey history, the Montreal Canadiens, and unite all Habs fans to join the forum for the best hockey discussion around. I am proud to be involved with a forum where the atmosphere is friendly and family oriented. A forum where members of all ages can post their views and opinions without the risk of being attacked or criticized. We're all excited for the start of the season and there's no better place to be on game days. Join us today at: http://fans.canadiens.nhl.com/community/
