Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Every time the Canadiens win a game, I love to write olé olé olé on Facebook and also “The Price is Right”. I got to meet Max Pacioretty and Chris Nilan and I took a photo of them in Gatineau that I’ve been using as my profile picture for a long time now. I’ll never forget meeting those guys.

I read any and every piece of news about the Canadiens online, follow the Habs on both Facebook and Twitter, and strongly suggest to everyone I know that they become fans or your Facebook page.

Your No. 1 Fan

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I never miss a Canadiens game. I’ve also followed the team to Florida for the past two years to watch them play and I’m a fan on Facebook and Twitter where I go to get all my news on the team. I have a whole wall at home dedicated to the Habs, full of Canadiens gear and items. I’ve been to New York, Ottawa, Washington, Tampa Bay, Sunrise and Pittsburgh to see the team play. I even got a tattoo on my ankle to show my love for the team.

I always try to go see games so that I can show up dressed as a Blue Man. I take pictures and post them to my Facebook account, where I go for every piece of news I can on the Canadiens. I share articles and pictures about the team whenever I can.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Everyday and every minute I’m always talking about the Habs whether it’s on my BBM, Facebook, or email. I love listening to TSN 990 at my office all the day and giving all the news about the Habs; trades, etc… to my co workers and my friends ASAP.

Win or loose I love Canadiens. They are my team and I support and I support them no matter what. Even my friends and family in Sweden, Germany, Iran, England, all know about the Habs because of me. My niece from Sweden heard about them so much that she bought Canadiens shirt the last time she was in Montreal and wore it when she was leaving to go back to Sweden.
We went to New york to watch Habs and Islanders and we took picture with their mascot.
GO HABS GO

We made ourselves a HABS pumpkin for Halloween! Our boyfriends are huge Habs fans too and are decked out in Canadiens gear every single day. We love to support our fellow CANADIENS and look hot while were doing it!

I show my passion for the Canadiens through social media by watching every game, re-tweeting the tweets by the team and the majority of the players that I followed and also by updating my Facebook status to cheer them on every game.

I have the CH tattooed over my heart and I always try to support the team as much as I can over social media. Every game I write something positive about the team on my Facebook wall, and I never miss a game for the entire season.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I wear my awesome Canadiens hat out EVERYWHERE I GO. I have a Habs heated blanket that I wear all the time and a Canadiens night light. I tell everyone I meet that I'm a Habs’ fan, because let's face it, what other team would I root for? My family is all from Montreal, to NOT be a Canadiens fan just wouldn't be right! I carry a hockey card of Carey Price with me in my wallet.
