Beginning on September 1, 2011, we will announce one Social Media Fan of the Day everyday on Twitter via @canadiensMTL, the official Twitter account of the Montreal Canadiens. The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to any Habs Zone location and we’ll post his or her profile on canadiens.com. Oh, and don’t forget to tell your friends – it’s in your best interests!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

Thanks to EXCELLENT parenting, I've been a Habs fan all my life. It was instilled in me at a very young age who the ONLY team worth rooting for was.

I use Twitter to tweet with other Habs fans before, during and after games, as well as to promote Habstweetups (regular opportunities for Habs fans who are on Twitter to get together for games).

I think about the Canadiens CONSTANTLY, and Twitter is the perfect outlet to express my love for the bleu, blanc, rouge with others who feel the same way as I do.

I also write weekly for allhabs.net, as well as my own personal blog: ladyhabs.blogspot.com

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I had left Twitter for a while until last year when I spent my freshman year as a true (knowledgeable) Habs fan on Twitter. Suddenly, I was meeting and making new friends, learning more about the game and all it entails aside from "Go Habs Go!" and the scoreboard. I actually began blogging about hockey, and recently won tickets in the reds to see the Habs vs. Bruins in pre-season play, based on a winning blog entry about that rivalry (found here). I am now considering a new, Habs-related blog, to exercise and express my newfound understanding of hockey. People on Facebook and Twitter know that during the season, they will be treated to my constant Habs-loving supportive posts, defending my team no matter what, and celebrating every triumph.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I simply cross the Atlantic Ocean every year (with the sole purpose) to support the BEST Hockey Team on the planet - THE MONTREAL CANADIENS!

I'm a Portuguese citizen (born, raised, and living here in Portugal since 1972).
My passion for the Habs started back in 1991, the year of my first visit as a tourist to Canada (Montreal). I'll never forget my first game at the historic "Forum"!
That was the day that I officially discarded football (soccer) as my favorite sport.

In a few weeks I'll be making the trip again, and you can bet that I'll be inside Centre Bell on October 13th, to support OUR Team ;)

Nobody amongst my friends or family understands this, but I'm not in search of understanding or comprehension. What I feel/live/absorb every time I've been to the Centre Bell to assist a "Season Opener" is enough for me to help live the rest of the year (in Portugal) saying OUT LOUD every day, "I am not afraid to die, for I've seen things you people wouldn't believe"(*)

I’ll also share with you some pictures of myself supporting "Les Canadiens”.

I'll end this post quoting the words of Mr. Sebastien Dhavernas words the movie Les Canadiens.

“Like an army on ice, we march south every winter; we return in the spring the — CONQUERORS!"

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

As a Habs fan born in Montreal but now living near Toronto I keep in touch with the Canadiens’ fan base on Twitter, where I am constantly discussing the Habs with my followers. Because I have a diploma in broadcast journalism and a post graduate diploma in sports journalism I decided to create a blog where I write about the Habs and women's hockey. (http://habsolutelywonderful.wordpress.com/)

I have Habs memoribilia all over my room, a mini t-shirt hanging in the back window of my car and I wear my Canadiens hat and jersey around town on game days, even if I get booed by those Maple Leafs fans.

I'm constantly rubbing my love for the Habs in the faces of people in Ontario - Habs key chain, background on my phone, photos on Facebook, tweets, t-shirts, jerseys, baseball caps, touques etc... There is no doubt, I am a Habs fan for life and I'm going to share it with the world.

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I just turned 31-year-old, and I’ve been a huge fan of the Canadiens for the past 20 years. When I was young I watched every single Habs game on TV with my father and I have extremely fond memories of when the team won the Cup back in 1993 – thinking about it still gives me goosebumps. I’m such a huge fan of the team that I’ve even got a tattoo of the CH on my forearm! I’m already so pumped for the season to start that I’ve been watching all my Canadiens’ DVD box-sets. GO HABS GO!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I’ve been a huge fan of the Canadiens for the past 5 years. I never miss a game and I basically organize my life around the Canadiens’ schedule. Whenever the season starts, I live by the bleu-blanc-rouge! During the playoffs, my favourite thing to do is to go to the Bell Centre dressed up like the biggest Canadiens fan in the world. Over the past 2 years I’ve already been to the Bell Centre 28 time, with my goal being to try and go at least once every month. Go Habs Go!!!

How do you show your passion for the Canadiens through social media?

I make announcements on Facebook every gameday right after I get up, and I also post updates of what’s happening in the game every time there’s a commercial break. I do this for my friend who doesn’t have TV while he’s working on the oil fields in Western Canada!

My daughter was born September 11, 2010 and I was there wearing my Habs hat (as always) and my Habs t-shirt! The picture I submitted is of me holding my newborn daughter, wearing Habs accessories. I was up as my profile picture for at about 3 months!

The day I received my tickets for a Habs-Sens game, I posted a profile picture of me holding them!

I also have a Ford F150 that I decorated with Habs gear and was using as my profile picture on Facebook for several months.

I show my passion for the Canadiens through social media by uploading every picture I have taken with the players on Facebook. I 'Like' the Montreal Canadiens on Facebook as well as Carey Price, which as you guys can tell is my favorite player.

I moved to Winnipeg last year from Niagara Falls, and when I found out that the NHL was returning, I was so excited. But then I found out that the Jets' first game would be against my favourite team - and I was speechless. I attended the game last Sunday and it was great to wear my Habs sweater in enemy territory! I was proud to be a Habs fan! By using twitter, I am able to keep up-to-date on all habs news and share stories and pics with fellow Habs fans in Winnipeg! Thanks to the players annd coaches for stopping to sign autographs and pose for pictures outside the hotel in Winnipeg!!

Anyone who knows me can tell you that I live and breathe the Montreal Canadiens. I use Twitter, Facebook and Youtube to get all the latest Canadiens news as it happens. I try to show my passion for the Habs wherever I go – here’s Mary-Lo and I mixing our two greatest passions: dancing and the Canadiens.

I travel with the Mackinaw dance troop and my “Old time hockey” cap and Carey Price t-shirt came with all the way from Hungary, to Switzerland to Serbia!

Long live dancing, long live hockey and long live the bleu, blanc et rouge and all their fans!
